What’s District Conference?
Waynesburg University PRSSA is honored to be hosting a District Conference during the spring of 2022 academic semester. PRSSA National makes this opportunity available every year to students and Chapters that display excellence, devotion, and a desire to provide valuable public relations programming to enhance student’s education on a national level. Conferences typically host multiple guest speakers of prestigious backgrounds in the field, incorporate interactive networking programming and workshops, and tailor to a theme made specific by an individual Chapter or university. Mark your calendars for March 25 & 26. You are invited to join us for a virtual conference titled, “ Making the Final Cut: A Strategic Communication Plan for Sports Public Relations.”
More About our Conference Theme:
Inspired by our close proximity to the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, our distinguished curricula in sports communication at Waynesburg University, and our pre-established connections with reputable sports communication professionals in the field, we hope that this conference helps to bridge the gap between sports communication and public relations. Several of our students have interest in both areas and we often struggle to marry each of these sects of strategic communication in a way that serves the students interests and career aspirations. Our speakers hail from well-known organizations and teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and President’s Athletic Conference, and we are ecstatic to have them share their knowledge and experience with aspiring young professionals like you!
